It is hard to cut through a lot of the noise, from mostly uninformed, unqualified and unproven commentators, when global markets are as uncertain as they are now.
However, one standout voice of reason that I can definitely recommend is legendary investment and commodities guru Jim Rogers.
Jim is a US entrepreneur and investor who co-founded the Quantum Fund and retired at the age of 37. He sold his New York mansion and moved to Singapore to capitalise on what he saw as the enormous investment potential of the Asian region.
He even started his own international commodities index, is the author of many investment books and is renowned for his forthright commentary on global markets.
The reason why I seek out and respect Jim’s views is that he is a ruthless, no-holds-barred and successful long-term investor. At 72 years of age, he has been there and done that through all the cycles.
He is not scared to speak his mind and put himself out there with his assessments of where things are now and where he sees them heading, and his strong and upfront views often go directly against the grain of what is deemed to be popular public opinion.
You can find Jim on various platforms across the internet and social media and to me he has the proven track record and insights to be a real voice of reason, particularly during volatile global market conditions as those we are currently experiencing.
